After my first visit to Spiritual Church and the Rev Eileen’s “sighting” of my Mother sitting beside me; several weeks passed and although I received many messages, including a rather surprising one from my Father; Christina was silent. I asked Eileen, who replied simply “when she’s ready”.

I still worried though: perhaps she felt I had failed her in her last days. I missed her so much. I kept calling out to her in my mind – although now I realize that I was being selfish and that the soul of my Mother was probably re-adjusting. “How can someone, outside of time, need time?” I thought.

Then one Sunday, a medium called Patrick Webber, visited the church and conducted ‘messages’. “Your Father is standing with your Mother” said Patrick. He’s saying, “I’m taking care of her now”. I wasn’t quite sure how to take that. Maybe I had failed her and that Dad had taken over. Then I realized how selfish my thoughts were…

Mam and Dad had loved each other for 46 years. Dad had been the only man my mother had ever known, both as a boyfriend and as a husband. If my father had known another woman, it was never mentioned. They were a rare couple. They were one. Patrick went on to say that Dad was handing me flowers from my mother – I can’t remember what they were, but Patrick then went on to say, “when she is ready, she will walk with you again. She will come to you in a dream and you will know the difference between that dream and other dreams.”
